Corporate casino night hire

A fun casino is one of the easiest ways to get a room full of colleagues talking. People who've never said more than hello in the lift end up cheering each other on at the roulette table, and nobody has to be good at anything for it to work.

Real tables and croupiers · fun money, no real gambling · a reply from a real person, usually the same day

We book casino night hire for offices, awards dinners, conferences and client evenings all over the UK. Everything runs on fun money, so nobody spends a penny of their own. Your guests get a stack of chips, a croupier who'll show them the ropes and, usually, a prize draw at the end for the top players.

What a corporate casino night usually looks like

Most evenings follow a similar pattern. The tables go up before guests arrive, often while the venue is still laying the room. People get their fun money as they come in or find it at their seats, and the tables open after dinner or once the welcome drinks are flowing.

Play tends to run for around two to three hours. That's long enough for everyone to have a proper go at a few games without it dragging on. Towards the end the croupiers count up the chips, and the people with the biggest piles go through to the prize draw or straight to the prizes, however you'd like to do it.

Then it's back to the bar or the dance floor. Simple as that.

Who books them

The common thread is a mixed crowd. Some people want to dance, some want to chat, and a fair few want something to do with their hands. A casino looks after that last group nicely and gives the quieter ones an easy way in. We see a lot of bookings for:

  • Christmas parties and summer parties
  • Awards dinners, as something to do once the speeches are over
  • Conference evenings and incentive trips
  • Client hospitality nights
  • Team socials where nobody fancies another escape room

How many tables you'll need

As a rough guide, one table handles around 15 to 25 guests playing at a time. Not everyone plays at once, though. At a typical office do a good chunk of the room is at the bar or on the dance floor at any given moment, so you don't need a table for every 20 names on the guest list.

For 50 to 80 guests, two or three tables usually works well. Roulette is almost always the busiest, so it's worth having one, then blackjack and perhaps poker or three card poker. Bigger events of 150 or more often go to four or five tables so queues don't build. Our post on how many casino tables you need goes into more detail.

Space, setup and the practical bits

Each table needs room for the table itself, the croupier behind it and a ring of players round the front. As a rough guide, allow an area of about three metres by three metres per table, and a bit more for roulette because it pulls a crowd. The partner supplying the tables will run through the details with you.

Setup usually takes about an hour and happens before your guests arrive. The tables don't normally need power, which makes life easier in function rooms and marquees. If your venue has set access times or a particular way in for equipment, pass that on and we'll make sure the team knows.

Croupiers turn up smartly dressed and are used to corporate crowds. They'll fit in at a black tie awards night just as well as a relaxed office party in a hotel function room.

Making it feel like your event

A few small touches go a long way. Personalised fun money with your company logo is a popular one, and it often ends up pinned to people's desks the following week. Some partners can brand the table layouts too. And if you're running a theme, a Bond night or a Vegas evening fits a casino perfectly. Have a look at our themed casino nights for ideas.

Prizes are up to you. Some companies give a bottle of fizz to the top three, others put up an extra day's holiday, which gets surprisingly competitive. Because it's fun money and the prizes are handed out raffle style, it isn't gambling.

Frequently asked questions

Do our staff need to know how to play?

Not at all. The croupiers teach as they go, and most people have roulette sorted after a couple of spins. Blackjack takes a few hands. Poker is the one where it helps to know the basics, but they'll explain that too.

Is a casino night gambling?

No. Everyone plays with fun money that has no cash value, and nobody pays to play. Any prizes for the top players come from you and are handed out like a raffle, so it's entertainment, not gambling.

Can the tables run during dinner?

It's usually best after the meal or during a drinks reception, so people aren't torn between their starter and the roulette wheel. Some events open the tables for welcome drinks and again after dinner. We'll talk it through with you.

How much does a corporate casino night cost?

A fun casino with two or three tables typically costs £450 to £900 for around three hours. More tables, longer play, Saturdays, December dates and London usually cost more. We'll give you an exact price with your quote.

Wedding casino hire

Not everyone at a wedding wants to dance. There's always a table of uncles, a few friends from work and somebody's plus one who'd rather do anything than the Macarena. A fun casino gives them somewhere to go, and it's a lot more fun than propping up the bar all night.

Christmas party casinos

The Christmas do has a familiar shape. Drinks, dinner, crackers, a speech from the boss, then a long stretch where half the room dances and the other half stands about wondering what to do. A fun casino sorts out that second half.

Birthday casino parties

A big birthday deserves more than a buffet and a playlist. A casino party gives people something to do from the moment they walk in, and it works for every age at the same time. Grandparents, teenagers, old school friends, the neighbours. Everyone can play.

Charity casino nights

A casino night is a cracking way to raise money for a good cause. People come for a fun evening out, they get stuck in at the tables, and the money raised goes to your charity. It feels a lot less like being asked for money than a sponsored silence does.
