Here are the four themes we get asked about most, with a few ideas for each. The tables, croupiers and fun money are the same. It's what you wrap round them that changes.
Bond night
The classic. Black tie for everyone, cocktail dresses and dinner jackets, martinis shaken not stirred. Roulette is the Bond game, with blackjack as a good second table.
Play the theme tunes as people arrive. Put a few gold touches on the tables. Some hosts hand out name cards so everyone arrives as a villain or a henchman, which is a cracking icebreaker. And make sure someone delivers the line about the name being Bond at least once.
Vegas
Bright, loud and a bit cheesy, in the best way. Think neon signs, Elvis on the playlist, showgirl feathers and lots of red and gold. Dress code can be anything from sequins to Hawaiian shirts. It's the easiest theme for guests, because nobody needs a dinner jacket.
Vegas suits a busier room with more tables, so the whole place hums. Roulette, blackjack and poker together give it that casino floor feel. A fake wedding chapel in the corner for photos goes down well, too.
Monte Carlo
The classy cousin of Vegas. Monte Carlo is all about elegance: black and white, silver, candlelight, a jazz trio if the budget stretches. Guests dress in evening wear and the whole feel is calmer and more refined.
It works especially well for weddings, awards dinners and grand venues. Roulette is the centrepiece here, because it's the game most tied to the old European casinos. Keep the lighting low and the music gentle, and let the croupiers set the tone.
Great Gatsby
Roaring twenties glamour. Flapper dresses, feather headbands, pearls, braces and bow ties. Art deco gold and black, champagne towers and swing music. It's a hugely popular wedding and birthday theme, and a casino fits perfectly because the speakeasy era was full of card tables.
Blackjack and poker feel right for Gatsby. Personalised fun money in an art deco style really finishes the look. Ask guests to bring a feather or a string of pearls at the very least, so even the reluctant dressers join in.
Other themes
These four aren't the only options. A Casino Royale night is a close cousin of Bond. A Rat Pack evening sits somewhere between Vegas and Gatsby, with crooners and sharp suits. Some companies skip fancy dress altogether and match the casino to their brand colours, with branded fun money and table layouts, for a smart, joined up look.

Pulling it together
Whatever the theme, a few things make it work. Tell guests the dress code clearly on the invite. Put the tables where people can see them as they walk in. And think about personalised fun money, which can be designed to match.
Croupiers usually wear smart casino dress, which suits all four themes. Some partners offer themed extras, and we'll confirm exactly what's included with your quote. For more ideas, read our casino themed party ideas and our casino night dress code guide, or ask for a quote.
